SO, the last comic went over pretty well. There were some hiccups along the way and it took a lot longer than I had intended, but once I really sat down and booked my way through it I got a lot done on it in a fairly short amount of time.

SO, I've started my idea phase of my second comic. Mark the calendars-I started November 10 around 9pm and I hope to have it done before January first.

WHY so long? Because it's already twice as long as the last one and I'm only about halfway finished with the story. That means it'll be roughly four times the length of the last one. Not only that, but now I've got a decent amount of experience under my belt, so all I've gotta do is do it. I won't be experimenting with techniques and this and that. I know how my colored pencils work and I'm ready to tackle this beast.

The best part of this whole thing though is that it's a lot more serious and action packed. It WILL have words and action lines. I have the story in my head, but I'm only halfway finished with putting it into sketches. Once I've finished my sketches, I'll start on putting it into pages and some of the drawings will be redrawn. Then I'll Start inking, then coloring, then re-inking to emphasize the lines. It's a long drawn out process.

I love how it looks after it's done, but my real passion above all else is putting the story together. What I'm doing right now is my favorite part.

I won't be giving out hints as to the story for this next one. I'll only post the completed story once it's finished. See you in about a month and a half!

UPDATE:

So I'm still in the idea process... and I know that I said I was about halfway through, but I've added a lot to it, and I still feel like I'm only about halfway through the story. It's crazy because I know where I'm going with it, but getting there is taking me all over the place! I don't want to upload the sketches onto deviant art because I want it to be a total surprise, that AND it would take a long time.
